Hundred up and climbing for Tyrexpo Asia 2011
ERJ staff report (DRR)
Singapore -- More than 100 exhibitors from the international tyre, equipment and accessories markets have pledged their support for the next Tyrexpo Asia, to be held in Singapore next March, according to an 8 Nov announcement from show organisers ECI International.
So far, however, the list of exhibitors does not include any of the major global players, although ECI says that recent additions to a rapidly-expanding exhibitor list include Indian tyre maker CEAT, UK-based wholesaler Bond International, vulcanising equipment specialist Monarch, and Chinese suppliers including Long March, Crown Tyre, Deestone, Star Tyres and Sonny Tyres.
In addition, the century landmark has been reached earlier than for any of the previous seven Tyrexpo shows, ECI reports, saying that this means the event is already guaranteed to be bigger than the last exhibition in 2009. And with five months to go before the doors open in the Singapore Expo Centre, the chances are good that the 2011 edition will be the largest Tyrexpo Asia ever staged, the organisers add.
“There has been a fantastic response which has really gathered pace in the past six to eight weeks,†explains Rowena Suthers of ECI International.
“This sends a very clear message that the tyre and equipment industry in the region is confident and keen to trade. We currently have exhibitors from over 20 countries representing Asia, Europe, the US and the Middle East, as well as the strong support we receive from Singapore-based enterprises like Stamford Tyres, OMNI, Mindtrac, Newera and YHI.â€
TyreExpo Asia takes place at the Singapore Expo Centre from 29 - 31 March, 2011.
