ERJ staff report (DS)
Hong Kong -- After 7 days of China National Holiday, Westmoonint resumed its normal work on 8th October, providing customers with synthetic rubber from Chinese CSM and chloroprene rubber manufacturers.
The company apologised for delays in supplying the materials during the week-long holiday, blaming the delays on shortages of coal which led to power outages. The comapny said, "This year Chinese government has implemented a series of measures to tackle high energy consumption manufacturers, cutting down many power plants for these manufacturers during this summer electricity peak hours."
Last month, said WestmoonInt, its CR rubber series supplier, Chongqing ChangShou Chemical almost suspended production due to carbon shortages. WestmoonInt said the Changshou manufacturer is currently producing CR materials.
WestmoonInt said its supplier of CSM materials is unable to meet the huge global demand. WestmoonInt said the company is, "starting second product lines to meet the numerous abroad demands."
The company said it is extending its operations to cover all kinds of materials used by the rubber industry, to create a one-stop sho for the international rubber industry to source Chinese raw materials.
