Kumho raises tyre prices in US
ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Rancho Cucamonga California -- Kumho Tire USA Inc. said it will raise prices on Nov. 1 on all products it sells in the US by up to 6.5 percent, with in-line adjustments.
The US arm of South Korean tyre maker Kumho Tire Co. said increases will vary by product line and will take effect on all shipments on or after Nov. 1. The firm said it hasn't been able to recover the higher costs of raw materials, energy and transportation, even though it hiked prices by up to 8 percent on June 1 on all passenger and light truck tyres.
