Apollo workers return in South Africa

Mumbai, India -- Apollo Tyres said has informed the Mumbai Stock Exchange that its two factories in South Africa are now back to full production output, following the return of workers from a strike.
The statement said, "Apollo Tyres Ltd has now informed BSE that the general strike in tyre industry in South Africa has since been called off and consequently the workers of both the plants at Durban and Ladysmith of "Apollo Tyres South Africa (Pty.) Ltd.", a wholly owned subsidiary of "Apollo Tyres Ltd." have resumed work w.e.f. October 01, 2010 in a staggered way reaching full production today i.e. October 04, 2010."
