Opening day of ITEC Show exceeds expectations
ERJ staff report (TB)
Cleveland, Ohio -- The opening day of the International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC) exceeded expectations as evidenced by the standing-room only attendance at many of the educational seminars and traffic on the trade show floor, according to the show's organisers, Tire Business and Rubber & Plastics News.
For the first time since its founding in 1994, the ITEC show was expanded in 2010 beyond its traditional tyre manufacturing audience to include the entire tyre industry. Among the attendees at this year's show are tyre dealers, tyre recyclers, retreaders and tyre industry personnel from the US and around the world.
In addition to the trade show and educational sessions, ITEC attendees also were treated to an opening night cocktail reception hosted by the conference's corporate sponsors Bridgestone Americas, Toyo Tire USA. Corp., Pirelli Tire North America Inc., VMI Group and BKT Tires North America.
This year's ITEC show offers a trade show with 213 exhibitors and nearly 52,000 square feet of exhibit space sold.
The ITEC show continues at Cleveland's I-X Center, located near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
