Osaka, Japan -- Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd.'s new Toyo Proxes T1 Sport (AO) tyres have been chosen by Audi AG as a fitment for the Audi TT and TTS models.
Toyo's Proxes T1 Sport (AO), in size 255/35 R19 96Y, will be one of a select few makes of tyres fitted to Audi TT models specified with optional 19 inch wheels, according to Toyo President and CEO Kenji Nakakura. However, the same tyre will be the exclusive fitment to all Audi TTS models specified with 19 inch wheels, he added.
The Japanese tyre maker said the Proxes T1 Sport (AO) features improved handling, braking and cornering and “meets the needs of Audi for a high performance tyre matched to the dynamic and safe driving characteristics of the car.â€
The vehicle will be available worldwide in European, US and Asian markets, Toyo said.
