Weinheim, Germany -- Freudenberg Process Seals is expanding its material portfolio by adding â€œwhite hygienic EPDMâ€ (ethylene propylene diene monomer), a 1 June company statement said.
According to the statement, Freudenberg does not use any carbon black particles in the EPDM but retains â€œoutstanding mechanical properties using mineral fillers,â€ the company said.
Ideal for applications in the hygienic design sector including O-rings, precision mouldings and seals for butterfly valves, 70 EPDM 253815 has proven its â€œmechanical and chemical stability and demonstrated optimum performance in CIP/SIP processes,â€ Freudenberg claims.
The white EPDM is FDA approved and ADI (animal derived ingredients) free, the statement added.
