Avon Rubber sees results up strongly in Q1

London -- Avon Rubber PLC has annonced strong performance in the first quarter of 2010. The company said sales increased to £56.5 million (euro 65.7 million) from £48.4 million a year earlier. Profit (EBITDA) increased to GBP6.2 million from GBP3.9 million.
Peter Slabbert, Chief Executive commented: “Avon has made good progress during the first half of 2010 growing revenue, doubling operating profit and maintaining the order book at the strong levels with which it began the year.
