Michelin hiking tyre prices in US

Greenville, South Carolina -- Michelin North America Inc. said it will boost prices for passenger, light truck and motorcycle tyres up to 6 percent on 1 June.
The firm said the increase will cover all Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, private and associate brand passenger and light truck replacement tyres sold in the US.
The price hike will cover all Michelin brand aftermarket motorcycle tyres sold in Canada, Mexico and the US.
Michelin didn't give a specific reason for the increases.
