Maxxis/Cheng Shin win OE contract

Suwanee, Georhia -- Taiwan's Maxxis International/Cheng Shin Rubber Co. Ltd.'s Maxxis brand tyres will be original equipment on the new version of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.'s global compact car, the March.
The vehicle will debut in Japan and Thailand and eventually be sold in 160 countries, according to the companies.
The 2010 model, shown recently at the International Geneva Motor Show, featured Maxxis tyres in sizes 175/60R15 81H MA307 and 165/70R14 81S MA307. The tyres are produced by the company's Thailand plant.
The 2010 March model offers fuel-efficient features, touch screen technology and lightweight construction for environmental friendliness.
