Nicolin replaces Tough at Ansell
ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Red Bank New Jersey -- Magnus Nicolin has succeeded Doug Tough as CEO and managing director of natural and synthetic rubber glove maker Ansell Ltd.
He officially took over the posts March 1, although he joined the firm on Feb. 15. A Swedish citizen, he will be based at Ansell's US. headquarters in Red Bank.
Nicolin spent the last three years with Newell Rubbermaid Ltd., most recently serving as president, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Before that, he held senior executive posts with Esselte Business Systems Inc. over a seven-year span. He was president and CEO for his last three years with the firm.
Tough left Ansell March 1 to become chairman and CEO of International Flavors & Fragrances. He actually accepted the position last September, shortly before IFF's Chairman and CEO Robert Amen resigned. Tough had been serving on IFF's board of directors and on Oct. 1 became its non-executive chairman.
However, Tough remained at Ansell as CEO and managing director until his contract with the company expired and his successor was picked.
