Lanxess introduces new polymer analysis lab
ERJ staff report (RD)
Leverkusen, Germany - Speciality chemical company Lanxess AG's Technical Rubber Products (TRP) business unit has opened a new laboratory for dynamic-mechanical analysis (DMA) within its polymer testing department, the company said 20 Oct.
Polymer testing of this kind allows rubber compounds to be analysed for suitability for particular applications. The company said precision instrument specialist Mettler Toledo is providing the test equipment, including two DMA devices, whilst Lanxess will provide the test lab and industry knowledge.
The testing will be carried out on behalf of customers in the new Lanxess lab. Lanxess added that the Polymer Testing department is looking to expand its activities in the future and increasingly offer its services to third parties.
