ACS Rubber Division to use I-X centre in 2011
Rubber & Plastics News staff report
Louisville, Kentucky - The ACS Rubber Division plans to hold its 2011 Rubber Expo at the I-X Center next to Cleveland Hopkins Airport, rather than the convention centre in downtown Cleveland.
The division hierarchy decided to try a new approach to that major expo, said Al Feit, a consultant who is division chairman this year. The I-X Center is an enormous structure, with plenty of parking, and will serve as the site of both the exhibition and technical program.
For decades when the division held the major expo in Cleveland, it would take place at the Cleveland Convention Center. The I-X Center borders the airport and a major highway.
A headquarters hotel hasn't been chosen, said Feit, who spoke at the Rubber Division's fall conference and mini-expo in Louisville.
