Forlì, Italy -- So.F.Ter. SpA, the Italian TPE compounder, has acquired Matrixx Europe Srl, the European subsidiary of the American compounder Matrixx Group Inc. The acquired unit is headquartered in the Mantua district of Italy.
Matrixx Europe, with two production sites in Marcaria and Castelgoffredo is specialised in the production of thermoplastic resin compounds for a wide range of applications, based on Polyamide 6 and 6,6, PBT and Polypropylene matrix. The company has an installed capacity of approximately 15 000 tons/year, with a staff of about 30 persons.
So.F.Ter makes thermoplastic compounds for industrial applications based on Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPV, TPE-S, TPO) and Engineering Thermoplastics It employs 200 persons and forecasts sales of about 100 Million Euro in 2008.
