Ford recognises 100-year suppliers
ERJ staff report (DS)
Dearborn, Michigan -- Ford Motor Co is marking the centenary of the first Model T car, which first rolled off the assembly line at the Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit on October 1, 1908.
As part of those celebrations, the company lists suppliers to the Model T who are still in business -- and still supplying to Ford.
The list includes BF Goodrich (now part of The Michelin Group) and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Both of whom supplied - and continue to supply -- tyres.
