Philadelphia, Pennsylvania -- Rohm and Haas Co. is to apply a surcharge on its Special Materials products starting May 1 for products shipped in North America.
The index will be adjusted each month based on key raw material, crude oil and natural gas costs. The index will be take effect in other regions later in May.
Customers are being notified individually about how the index will apply to their purchases. The increase or decrease in this surcharge will be reflected in monthly customer billings.
The businesses make performance-based products used in paints and coatings, adhesives, caulks, dispersants, plastics additives and other goods.
