Social Circle, Georgia -- The US-based Occupational Safety and Health Administration has recommended Goodyear pay $52,000 in penalties for alleged safety violations at its in Social Circle, Georgia..
OSHA inspectors cited the plant for alleged repeat violations of failing to perform inspections of its energy control procedures and install proper safety guards at a production machine, according to an agency press release.
Inspectors also cited Goodyear for allegedly using defective equipment cords and failing to correctly maintain OSHA logs..
Goodyear has the right to contest the citations and fines. Goodyear officials could not be reached for comment.
