Washington DC - Through its Hedge fund TPG-Axon Capital Management has upped its stake in Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co to 5.5 percent.
The company filed a report with the US Securities and Echange Commision on 8 Jan stating that it now owns $13.25 million- worth of shares
It did not disclose when it acquired the shares or the purpose behind the acquisition.
The fund has previously reported in a filing that it owned 5.97 million Goodyear shares as of 30 Sept.
On Tuesday Goodyear's stock fell to $23.01.
