Xiameter introduces sulphur silanes to its product line
ERJ staff report (SS) Midland, Michigan -- Xiameter, Dow Corning's web-enabled business, has announced that it will add sulphur silanes to its product line from 1 Jan 2008.
These new products, used by manufacturers in the production of tyres and general rubber goods, will be available to customers in Europe and the US.
“By offering these products through Xiameter, customers benefit from the convenience of online purchasing, market-based prices and the reliability they have come to expect from Xiameter,†said David Unsworth, business development manager of Xiameter, in a 14 Dec statement.
Sulphur silane is widely used as a coupling agent and as an adhesion promoter in rubber compounds. One of its key applications is in the production of silica-reinforced tread for “green†tyres.
Xiameter offers market-driven prices for high-volume shipping units of commonly used silicon-based materials.
