Yokohama puts environmental report on website
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., has put an English version of its "Environmental and Social Report 2007" on its website. The company first published this report in 2000, but up to now it has been available only in Japanese.
The website shows the English versions of the 56-page "Environmental and Social Report 2007" and "Site Information" issued in September this year. "Site Information" is a PDF file describing environment-related data from 20 domestic and overseas production bases of Yokohama Rubber Group as well as from Yokohama Rubber Headquarters and Group companies in Japan.
At the same time, the company newly opened an English website to introduce its environmental and social activities. In addition to news releases relating to environmental and social activities, this new website introduces a "Yokohama Forever Forest" project that will create forests at domestic and overseas production bases of Yokohama Rubber Group by 2017 or the company's 100th anniversary. With a planting ceremony at the Hiratsuka Factory in November 2007, the project started in full swing.
