Matador to remain a separate brand

Following the acquisition by Continental of a controlling stake in Matador's rubber activities, Manfred Wennemer, Chief executive has said Matador will remain a separate tyre brand, retaining the same dealers and distributors in westeern Europe and in Eastern Europe and also keeping the same marketing team. He added, however, that the company has not yet decided wheter to continue with the various sprorting sponsorships that Matador has traditionally supported.
