Moynihan to head Green Rubber Global; promote new technology
Albuquerque, New Mexico -- Green Rubber Global, the Malaysian-based rubber recycling technology group, has announced the appointment of Lord Moynihan as executive chairman of its board.
Lord Moynihan's career includes spells in the UK Government as both Energy and Sports Ministers and senior board positions at Consort Resources and wind power firm Clipper Windpower.
“I am delighted that Lord Moynihan has agreed to join Green Rubber, as well as take a role on the Petra Group Advisory Board,†said Vinod Sekhar, the founder of Petra, in a 3 Oct statement.
“Colin is an experienced executive in both the AIM market and the renewable energy sector, and his leadership and insight will be invaluable as we move towards the listing process and beyond,†he added.
“I have been very impressed with Vinod Sekhar's - and the Petra Group's - wider environmental and renewable agenda which is entirely in tandem with my own,†said Lord Moynihan, in the statement.
“Waste rubber is rapidly being recognised as one of the world's most serious environmental problems and Green Rubber's DeLink process is one of the most exciting new technologies in this sector,†he added.
GRG's newley developed DeLink technology makes it possible to devulcanises rubber compounds to create 'green rubber'. The process is set to become the world's first commercially viable, waste-free way to recycle rubber.
GRG, has also said that it will be seeking a listing on London's Alternative Investment Market in the next six months.
