Dow Corning to present paper on tyre rubber silane technology
Bath, UK - Dow Corning silane technology expert Michael Backer will present “Sulfido Silanes in Tires - On the Road to Low VOC†at this year's European Silicon Days in Bath, England. The presentation will discuss the role of organofunctional silanes in helping tyre rubber manufacturers and material suppliers meet customer demand and regulations for more economical and environmentally sustainable products.
Also at the conference, the Dow Corning Corporation will announce the winner of the Dow Corning Young Scientist Award for Excellence in Silicon Chemistry. This prestigious award recognises and encourages technical and intellectual excellence in silicon chemistry within the younger academic community.
The European Silicon Days 2007 is being held at The University of Bath, in the UK on 9th to 11 Sept. Backer's paper will be presented on the last day (Tuesday) at 14:20 local time.
