UK holds REACH seminar for rubber, PU industries
London -Â A seminar on the implications of REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) will be held on 17 July in Stoke-on Trent, UK. The new European rules came into force on 1 June this year. The event is organised by the UK's British Rubber and Polyurethane Products Association (BRPPA).
BRPPA's health, safety and environment director will describe how the new legislation will affect the sector and how BRPPA can in a practical way help companies handle its requirements. Dr Gilles Moninot of Columbian Chemicals Co. will describe Columbian's approach to REACH implementation. In addition, a senior member of the UK Health and Safety Executive - the UK implementation body -will be describing how it intends to enforce the new rules.
The event will be held in the Michelin Athletic Club in Stoke-on-Trent. The attendance fee is £125, though members of the BRPPA receive a £50 discount.
