Dow to hopes to revitalise its wire & cable business
Horgen, Switzerland - Dow Wire & Cable, a global business of The Dow Chemical Company, has said it will, "advance its market-facing strategy in Europe, the Middle East and India to meet healthy demand growth and changing wire and cable performance requirements in power distribution and telecommunications."
The company has made a series of new appointments in the business and is beefing up its efforts in Russia and Central Europe. Also, a series of new grades aimed at the wire cable business should improve Dow's ability to meet the needs ofits customers, said the company.
The company has increased capacity for some ethylene-based materials and has named Benoit Fritz as the new sales director for Dow Wire & Cable in Europe, the Middle East, and India. He was previously market manager for the company in Europe.
Fritz said “To meet increased demand, we have doubled our supply of high purity insulation compounds and semiconductive compounds in Europe.â€
Robert Tarimo has been named as the new market manager in Europe, the Middle East, and India.
