Marietta, Georgia -Carbon black producer Columbian Chemicals Co. has named Jac Sup Lee president and CEO, effective immediately.
Lee currently is a member of the firm's board of directors and has served as interim president and CEO since September.
He joined Columbian in March 2006 as senior vice president of operations after more than 30 years with DC Chemical Co. Ltd., where he held various positions, including manufacturing, planning and business development, research and technology, sales, and marketing posts.
Lee said Columbian is making changes to increase its efficiencies, although he did not elaborate on what the changes were. "Columbian will be a different company but a better company in every regard," he said. "I am looking forward to leading the company as we further expand the operations globally."
