Cooper-Standard to close Ohio fluid systems plant
Novi, Michigan -- Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. will close its fluid systems plant in Archbold, Ohio, by the third quarter of 2008. The unit employs about 215.
Production and manufacturing equipment from the factory will be transferred to other Cooper-Standard operations in North America.
The move is part of the firm's reorganisation plan "to reduce operating costs, increase efficiencies and improve our competitive position while better aligning our manufacturing capacity in North America," said Ed Hasler, president and chief operating officer.
