UK motorists can obtain flat-tyre insurance

London - Pneus-Online, France's leading online tyre provider, has launched the first online 24-month insurance cover against flat tyres in the UK - for those who buy from Pneus-Online website. The company's website offers customers free insurance cover for the first year with a possible 12-month extension at around £4 per tyre. The customer is insured against punctures from the day the tyres are purchased and is also covered against blow-outs and acts of vandalism. Pneus-Online says claims are paid within three days.

All claims are subject to wear-rate reduction policy, whereby a tyre punctured in the first 12 months after purchase is assumed to have 25 percent wear, and so the driver pays 25 percent of the cost of the tyre. For 13 - 24 month period, the wear-rate deduction is 50 percent.
