Albemarle lifts price of aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide flame retardants
Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Albemarle Corp will lift the worldwide price of its aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide flame retardants by up to 15 percent on 1 Oct.
Albemarle's Martinal and Magnifin flame retardants are used in rubber and plastics for wire, cable, coatings, laminates and construction materials.
''This price increase is needed in part to address significant increases in the cost of energy, transportation, raw materials and other manufacturing costs and to help pay for continued investment to meet increased demand for aluminium hydroxide and high purity magnesium hydroxide.
