Danish company develops low-odour tyre recyclate
Broendby, Denmark -- Danish company Nanon A/S claims to have developed a process that produces rubber recyclates lacking the characteristic rubber odour that marks most rubber products. The company claims its 'Super-Rubber' product is made by 'washing' the rubber particles in a carbon dioxide environment, using "a so-called nano manipulation process".
The difference between Super Rubber and ordinary recycled rubber is that it is odour-free. There is also the commercial consideration that recycled rubber is cheaper than new manufactured artificial rubber. Price-wise, it is also not sensitive to movements in oil prices." said Thomas Christensen, business development manager at Nanon A/S, in a statement.
