Seoul, Korea -- reports from Korea suggest that Kumho Tire is planning to build a third tyre factory in China.
The company is reported to have said yesterday that the plant will be built in Changchun, China, in a 90-10 partnership with Chinese car maker, FAW group with a total investment of $150 million.
The plant is expected to have capacity for 3.15 million car tyres per year, and be on stream in 2007. Construction is scheduled to begin early in 2006.
