Goodyear Europe announces de Bok as Roney's replacement
Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear has announced the appointment of Arthur de Bok, 43, as president of the company's European Union business. De Bok replaces Mike Roney who resigned two weeks ago to join Bunzl, the logistics management company
De Bok joined Goodyear in 2002 as vice president of marketing for the EU business, and was promoted in mid-2003 to the post of vice president of consumer tyres for the European Union.
A graduate of Erasmus University in his native Netherlands, de Bok holds
a Master's Degree in law. de Bok's replacement will be named later.
Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, the EU business is Goodyear's
largest outside of North America with 2004 sales revenues of $4500 million.
