Brussels--The European Tyre Industry, represented by BLIC, says it welcomes the "PAHs in tyres/extender oils" text adopted today by the European Parliament. This concludes the legislative procedure.
According to BLIC, this legislation provides an important new model for regulation, showing that the EU Institutions can craft legislation that advances environmental standards for products placed on the European Market while ensuring consumer safety requirements and respecting the competitiveness needs of the EU industry.
