DuPont boosts specialty elastomer prices
Geneva-DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) announced a price increase of 0.30 Euro/kg for its Vamac GLS, HVG and DP ethylene/acrylic elastomer grades. The price increase is part of a global price adjustment and is effective 1 April 2005, a 1 March statement said.
“We are committed to our customers and will continue to support their growing needs for ethylene acrylic elastomers that deliver product performance and innovation in the markets they serve,†stated M. Coletta, global market director - transportation, in the statement.
“These price increases are necessary to ensure the continuity of DuPont efforts in product innovation, quality and ability to meet an increasing demand. The increases will help insure our future ability to reliably supply and service our customers,†he added.
The Vamac products are used in a variety of industries and applications.
