Michelin selects Olsztyn for Euro253m expansion
Paris--Groupe Michelin has confirmed that it intends to spend Euro253 million to expand its tyre plant in Olsztyn, Poland, over the next three years.
The investment will be aimed at car and light truck tyres, and will include extra capacity for tyre manufacture, tyre curing, compounding and warehousing.
The project will add 520 jobs at the plant and will bring production up to around 3 million units per year, with the first tyres from the new facility coming off the lines in March 2006.
