Former Cabot ceo to run US energy department

    Washington DC--Samuel Bodman, former chief executive of Cabot Corp has been named as President George W Bush's energy secretary. He will replace Spencer Abraham, who announced his resignation in mid-November.

    Bodman is currently deputy secretary of the Treasury Department and will take up his new position as soon as the US Senate confirms the nomination
