Michelin Americas to hike tyre prices
From Rubber & Plastics News
Greenville, South Carolina-Michelin Americas Small Tires will increase prices by an average of 3 percent July 5 on Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal and its private and associate brand passenger and light truck tyres sold in the US replacement market.
MAST's move follows a number of other tyre makers that have announced price hikes in the last several weeks mainly due to rising raw materials costs. Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Continental Tire North America Inc., Toyo Tire USA Corp. and Yokohama Tire Corp. all announced tyre price hikes, effective 1 June, while Goodyear said it planned to raise tyre prices 1 May on all of its brands in various segments.
