Russia to build condom plant
A Russian company, Bezopasny Seks ("safe sex" in Russian), is planning to invest $2.6 million to build a new condom plant in St Petersburg, Russia, according to a local paper. BS makes the Russian Vizit brand of condoms, one of the most popular in Russia, according to the St Petersburg Times. The company plans to buy equipment from the German company Doeka, which will be capable of making 120 million units per year. That would make the new plant the most productive condom factory in Russia, according to the report.
