India may produce over 700 kt of rubber in 2004
HIgher prices for rubber have stimulated Indian farmers to take more care of their trees, resulting in a record projected output for financial year 2003-04, according to Indian statistics. Total output is almost certain to exceed 700 kt, compared with 650 kt the previous year.
