Henkel gets Lucky Silicone

Düsseldorf, Germany-Henkel Group has acquired Lucky Silicone Industry Co. Ltd, a Jincheon, Korea-based sealants manufacturer, for an undisclosed amount. The deal, completed at the end of 2003, strengthens company's adhesives business in Asia, said a 14 Jan Henkel announcement.
Lucky Silicone employs 46 in the development, production and sales of sealants, and is the Korean market leader in the sector, with 2002 sales of around Euro30 million, according to Henkel.
“This acquisition gives Henkel a strategically important position in the rising Asian sealants market, said Alois Linder, Henkel's executive vice president consumer and craftsmen adhesives, in a press statement.
