Kraiburg taps HF for new rubber mixing line

Hanau, Germany – Gummiwerk Kraiburg has commissioned a new rubber mixing line featuring an HF Group IM190E internal mixer as part of a production upgrade at one of its German compounds plants, HF Group said in a recent statement.

According to the machinery maker, the project involved replacing an existing K5 mixer with the new high-performance unit to increase production capability while maintaining a compact plant footprint.

The supplier said the project was carried out at an existing "brownfield environment", with engineering work including 3D mapping of the facility, digital plant modelling, detailed design of hydraulics, piping and cable systems, and installation planning.

HF said the work also included a new cooling line and batch-off system, with engineering and equipment procurement carried out in parallel.

The mixing line was installed "on time, within budget and to the required quality standards," the supplier said.

Guenther Beisser, director of engineering services at Kraiburg, described the project as "a perfect collaboration", adding that it "exactly matched our requirements."

HF said the new "designed to provide maximum flexibility in order to meet even the most demanding customer requirements efficiently and reliably."
