Middle East conflict continue to pose headwinds, but company optimistic about “sustained demand momentum” in India
Gurugram, India - Apollo Tyres has reported strong fourth-quarter and full-year results for fiscal 2026, ended 31 March, as demand in India continued to support growth.
Full-year consolidated revenues across geographies (India and Europe) rose 9% year-on-year to INR284.7 billion (€2.6 billion), while earnings (EBITDA) rose 16% to INR41.4 billion.
For the fourth quarter, earnings were up 27.6% to INR10.7 billion, on 14% higher sales of INR73.3 billion, Apollo reported 14 May.
Fourth quarter sales were primarily buoyed by the Indian operations, which Apollo said witnessed a strong growth, delivering “the highest ever revenue.”
The segment, it noted, reported “strong high teens growth” across replacement and OE markets, with truck & bus replacement operations delivering “the highest ever quarter volumes.”
Looking ahead, Apollo said it expected demand in Indian to remain “very strong across categories and channels.”
In Europe, fourth-quarter volumes witnessed “a low single digit growth” year-on-year, but the tire maker registered a 3.3% decline in the overall topline, primarily on account of decline in “other operating income”
Looking ahead, Apollo said it anticipated a “good growth momentum” is in Europe for its first quarter (started 1 April).
Commenting on the results, chairman Onkar Kanwar said Apollo’s performance in India remained robust, particularly in the replacement and OE segments, with truck-bus radials recording growth of over 20% in the final quarter.
Meanwhile, he said, the European operations performed “in line with prevailing market conditions.”
“While ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia continue to pose headwinds, we remain optimistic about sustained demand momentum in India, supported by positive rural sentiment,” he concluded.
