AMG approves Yokohama Rubber's Advan Winter V907 for 'afterparts fitment' in Europe
Hiratsuka, Japan – Yokohama Rubber has gained ‘afterparts’ approval in Europe for its Advan Winter V907 UHP winter tire on Mercedes-Benz E-Class models, including the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+.
Offered in 245/45R19 102V (front) and 275/40R19 105V (rear) sizes, the tires are being sold mainly through Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Europe, Yokohama announced 26 Nov.
Launched last year, the V907 was the first new Advan-brand winter tire introduced by the Japanese manufacturer in 17 years.
Yokohama said the tire combines the UHP technologies used in its Advan Sport OE fitments with its winter-tire development expertise.
The product, it stated, thereby delivers “a [special] combination of high performance on snow as well as in dry conditions.”
Yokohama is targeting higher sales of Advan, Geolandar and winter tires (AGW) and 18-inch-plus sizes under its YX2026 medium-term plan.
