PremiumContact C EV tire fitted with ContiSilent noise-reduction technology
Hanover, Germany – Hyundai’s new all-electric Ioniq 9 will be equipped with Continental’s PremiumContact C tire, approved in size 285/45 R21 113 V XL FR for factory fitment, Continental announced 21 Nov.
The German supplier said the tire was engineered for large SUVs and EVs and features a “robust design” to support load capacity, as well as an adaptive tread pattern for handling on wet and dry surfaces.
The OE version includes the company’s ContiSilent foam-based noise-reduction system, which reduces interior tire-road noise by “up to nine decibels,” according to Continental.
The PremiumContact C is listed as approved for the vehicle in multiple markets including the UK and Ireland, Continental added.
