Achieves six 'top scores’ across key performance categories, according to Japanese group
Brussels – Bridgestone’s Potenza Sport tire has taken first place in EVO magazine’s 2025 Tire Test, achieving ‘six top scores’ across key performance categories, the tire maker announced 17 Oct.
Tested on a BMW 135i xDrive (302 bhp) with tire size 235/35 R19, the Potenza Sport was among nine tires assessed by EVO in partnership with blackcircles.com.
The Bridgestone tire ranked first in wet handling, wet braking distance, wet cornering, and curved aquaplaning, said the Japanese group.
Under dry conditions, it also set the “fastest dry lap time” and finished third in dry braking.
EVO described the Potenza Sport as “an emphatic winner” and “an exceptional tire,” adding that “the foundations of its win are in its superb performance and feel in the wet and dry on the road.”
According to Bridgestone, independent TUV SUD tests have also found the Potenza Sport to deliver “the best performance in dry braking and cornering, and straight-line stability” among premium-segment competitors, while maintaining EU label A-grade wet grip across all sizes.
