Vulcanised rubber design delivers contactless payment functionality for wearers
Miami Beach, Florida – Watch accessories specialist Rubber B has claimed a “breakthrough” with the introduction of a ‘tap-to-pay’ connected rubber strap for luxury watchmaker Rolex.
Engineered for Rolex Sky-Dweller models, the new series is said to provides seamless integration with the watch and provide contactless-payment functionality – via built-in NFC technology.
The design, said the US manufacturer, employs ‘blocked integration’ engineering, incorporating solid inserts for a “motionless flush mount to the Sky-Dweller Oysterflex model's case.”
The vulcanised rubber strap is said to provide “exceptional” comfort, flexibility and durability, making it suitable for daily wear, aquatic environments and active lifestyles.
“The patented design ensures a seamless aesthetic and secure fit, enhancing the watch's overall appearance and security,” according to the RubberB statement.
