“Strategic investment” sees increased capacity for air spring sleeves, assembly at Lerma facility
Darmstadt, Germany – Vibracoustic has expanded its production and assembly capabilities for air spring sleeves in Mexico.
The German supplier of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) systems carried out a series of expansion projects at its facilities in Lerma, Mexico in 2024, to enhance supply to the North American market.
In an 11 June statement to ERJ, Vibracoustic said the “strategic investment” underscored its commitment to “high quality standards and customer satisfaction.”
The projects involved a capacity increase for the production of air spring sleeves at the Lerma I plant.
In addition, the assembly capacity for air springs at the newly established Lerma III plant was expanded during the year.
Vibracoustic officially inaugurated the Lerma III plant in Mexico in January 2023.
The site includes an additional 12,500 square metres of production and warehouse space, further strengthening Vibracoustic’s positioning in the region.
The statement did not provide further details about the size of the investment or added capacity.
As previously reported by ERJ, Vibracoustic also expanded NVH systems production in India last year to strengthen its presence in the Indian market. (ERJ report)
