Vibracoustic expands production capacity by 40% at Indian plant

Relocates to new facility in Morinda where it employs over 800 people
Morinda, India – Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) systems supplier Vibracoustic has expanded its production capacity in India with the relocation of one of its production units to a new site.
The Vibracoustic Morinda facility, in the northern Indian province of Punjab, has been operational since October last year and currently employs 830 people, the company told ERJ 20 May.
The move has resulted in a capacity increase of 40%, said the statement..
The facility specialises in producing chassis and motor mount NVH components for automotive customers across the region.
The site is equipped with an in-house testing laboratory and collaborative workspaces, the company added.
The new 'vulcanisation facility' in Morinda represents the relocation of the Vibracoustic Mohali moulding plant in India, previously situated 17km from the newly established site in Morinda.
In addition to the new site, Vibracoustic operates another production unit in Noida, nearly New Delhi, and a mixing plant in Mohali, Punjab.
Overall, the company employs 1,500 people in the country.
