OESL was acquired by Regent in February and will continue as independent organisation
Frankfurt, Germany – ContiTech’s former automotive unit Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) business has rebranded as ‘neuwerk’ following its acquisition by Regent in February.
The rebranding, said neuwerk 10 Sept, marks the company’s ‘next phase as an independent global organisation’ and combines two German words for ‘new and work’.
“Together neuwerk reflects the company’s ambition to build on its strong foundations while embracing new opportunities for growth and innovation,” the company said, which will be led by CEO Dirk Leiss.
Neuwerk said it remained committed to “delivering reliable solutions, close customer collaboration, and operational excellence.”
“The new brand represents a stronger, more focused organisation, ready to create value for customers and partners around the world,” it added.
At the time of its divestment, OESL employed 14,000 people and generated sales of €1.7 billion in fiscal 2025.
The company develops and produces hose lines and bearing elements for combustion-engine and electric vehicles.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Regent has interests across the automotive, media, consumer, and technology sectors, according to ContiTech.
