Goodyear adds more former Stellantis execs to management team
Appointments will “allow us to leverage data and consumer insights to transform how we meet customer needs...”
Akron, Ohio – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has tapped vehicle maker Stellantis for two new senior appointments within the Akron-based tire manufacturing group.
Mamatha Chamarthi has been appointed as Goodyear’s senior vice president (SVP) and chief digital officer, the group announced 30 July.
Chamarthi, it said, previously served as chief software business growth officer and chief information and digital [officer] for Stellantis.
Her roles at the automotive major included overseeing global connected vehicle initiatives, cybersecurity and enterprise IT.
Earlier in her career, Chamarthi held leadership roles at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Consumers Energy and Daimler Group.
Also starting in August is Will Roland, who takes on the role of SVP and chief marketing officer, with a remit to lead Goodyear's brand and marketing strategies.
Roland was previously SVP media, consumers, analytics and digital for Stellantis North America, developing “insights into influential consumer marketing channels.”
Both appointments are effective from 1 Aug, with the new executives reporting to CEO and president Mark Stewart.
"It's imperative that we understand our customers on a deeper level and both Will and Mamatha allow us to leverage data and consumer insights to transform how we meet customer needs," said Stewart – who also joined Goodyear from Stellantis. (ERJ report)
